“ King Souvlaki is a great value food truck. The portion sizes are good for the price, the food is filling, the service is good, and the food is delicious. I was in the area looking for something quick to eat after getting off a long flight. I came upon King Souvlaki's food truck. I was greeted right away and quickly decided on some Greek fries with gyro meat. The guy in the food truck was engaging and helped me understand the different items on the menu by answering my questions. I paid for my meal via Zelle and couldn't wait to try the food. The food was delicious. The fries were well-seasoned and perfectly fried. The gyro meat also has a nice flavor. I didn't care for the tzatziki sauce. I could see myself coming back from seconds the next time I was in the area. ”
“ Fast and friendly service! It was my first time trying King Souvlaki and I was not disappointed! I ordered their hand cut Greek fries topped with Greek feta cheese crumbles - the cheese was so fresh and it went so well with the fries. They had a pretty extensive menu with lots of yummy options. I will definitely return with a bigger appetite next time so I can try some of their platters and gyros! ”
“ After 5 years, this is still my go to place for delicious Souvlaki. My favorites are still the chicken and pork platters as you'll see in my photos. Tender, juicy and fresh meats all the time. Everything is seasoned perfectly and always served quickly and with great service. Their tzatziki sauce is the best I've ever had. And as I write this, I am plotting on my next visit across the bridge. They have a few tables lined against the building but that's about it. For a food truck, I really appreciate the gesture of at least having this. ”
“ Keepin it real out here in Astoria Everything is straightforward, solid. Cool thing is that everyone working there is very themselves, never changed just cause they got bigger. ”
“ Of course King Souvlaki has banging souvlaki. Today, I had a pork souvlaki and it was juicy and savory. Topped it with lemon and oregano. The service is quick and friendly. I enjoyed my souvlaki on the street. They have tables and chairs for you to enjoy your food while it's fresh, juicy and hot. An added bonus is an ATM installed to the truck. Fancy! ”
“ Just moved into the area and wanted to check this place out since it's down the block from us. It's a pretty large truck with several windows and cooks. We got the pork souvlaki and chicken gyro platters. The pork was so tender and flavorful! Definitely one of my favs. The platter also comes with pita, tzatziki sauce, a salad, and rice. It's definitely a lot of food and only $15 each! The service was pretty quick yet friendly. Cash only! They have an ATM attached to the truck though. ”
“ These people really know what they are doing. You can see everything made with love here!!! Souvlaki is the bomb! Delicious! A must have Greek fries!!! French fries fried in olive oil and topped with feta cheese!! A food truck with a regular restaurant treatment here!! They have one in Forest hills as well! ”
“ King Souvlaki is a classic. I remember when you could get a stick for under $3. Now I think the Chicken Souvlaki sticks are $5, which is a magic number for my generation. In my day crack cost $5 and as a little kid, they sold everything for $5, mostly because it was stolen and the sales people had bad habits. Now, You can get a Pork or Souvlaki for $5 and support your habit. If you want a Greek Pork Sausage, it is $6. They have all soys for add ons and combos, and for the most part, for about $20 You can get a platter or greek salad with meat. You get all of this from some men off the street, for $5. Just like the old days. ”
